Hope you are enjoying the summer :-) Just a quick email about an upcoming balloon meet that you might be interested in joining us for…

The Sackville Lodge meet is a “grass roots” meet taking place just north of Bedford from Sackville Lodge airfield on 12^th-13^th September. Last year quite a few balloons showed up and it was a really good friendly event (and there was also a really good hog and lamb roast and a beer tent!) We were thinking about making a bit of a weekend of it and camping down there if enough people are interested (maybe head down Friday after work and head back Sunday after the morning flight – giving us 3 potential flying slots). If enough people want to come along I am planning to take my little 2 person balloon down too. There are also plans to team up with some other local balloonists for some frivolities.

If you (like me) missed out on the action at Metz this year make sure you don’t miss out on this one. Unlike the Bristol fiesta the atmosphere is pretty relaxed so no ballooning experience is required, just lots of enthusiasm!
