Just a quick update on BUHABS summer activities…

We were lucky enough to get excellent flying weather for both Metz (biggest balloon meet in Europe) and the Bristol Fiesta. I myself am most jealous of those who went to Metz where BUHABS got in more than 10 flights, flew in the record-breaking line-up once again and had a bit of balloon swapping fun (some of the committee were spotted flying in a special shape can!) Most of all I am disappointed to have missed out on a splash in the “Speedos only” pool. L Hey ho, there’s always 2011!

At the Bristol fiesta we flew 5 times, took part in Thursday’s nightglow, appeared on ITV west and won an accuracy competition. We are in the process of getting the website up to date and will let you know when it’s ready so you can look at the pictures.

Don’t worry if you missed out. We continue to fly throughout the summer and your membership lasts right up until Fresh. If you are in Bristol at all and haven’t let me know your availability please send me an email. For those on the summer list rest assured, we haven’t forgotten you. We are keeping our eye out for some lovely sunny light-wind days and will be in touch (looks windy this weekend unfortunately). There are also a few late summer weekends away we are looking at going along to as well. So keep an eye on your inbox for more details!
