The BUHABS family. We regularly meet former pilots and members with their own balloons.

When you join BUHABS, you're also joining one of the largest local ballooning communities in the world. Bristol is the home of the long established balloon manufacturer, Cameron Balloons. In fact the latest BUHABS balloon was manufacturered by Camerons back in 2006. Camerons is the largest balloon manufacturer in the world, and it's based here in the heart of Bristol.

Our members can often be found flying in other balloons and travelling around the country to local balloon meets owing to our ties with other balloonists. For members with gain crewing qualifications, the opportunity exists to work for local rides balloon companies. BUHABS has been operating since 1986. We regularly meet with old BUHABS pilots around Bristol. Many of our previous pilots now have their own balloon and fly and work abroad.
